生徒の多くは『もののけ姫』や『千と千尋』などは見たことがあったので、
宮崎駿作品には「空と自然」が描かれている、とか、
主人公が女の子の場合が多い、とか、
エコロジーな内容が好き、などごもっともな意見が出る中、
一人の生徒が・・・

「おい、ナウシカってもしかしてポーランド人なんじゃないか！」という驚き発言。

どうも風の谷の人々の牧歌的な暮しぶりと、重装備したトルメキア軍にいとも簡単に占領されてしまう描写が「ポーランドとドイツだ！」ということらしいです。そしてトルメキアに占領されていたペジテという国も出てきます。ペジテは蟲に自国を襲わせ、自ら国民を犠牲にしてまでトルメキア軍を滅ぼす道を選ぶんだけど、「その汚いやり方がロシアっぽい！」とのことで、ペジテ＝ロシア決定。

「そうか！そうだったのか！」と納得しまくる生徒多数・・・
